I am absolutely blown away by the support from everyone in the plant community. It still feels like a dream but it’s starting to feel real now. This has been incredible. Awhina is overwhelmed and has to keep going out to her garden to calm herself. But she keeps thinking of all the things she can do with your generosity.
Together, we've got her a new hot water cylinder and some repairs for the area around it. There's still other plumbing issues (water filter, water pump from a spring) and we all know how expensive plumbers are. Let's see how far we can get!

When Jessica approached me by messenger this morning , to say she had received a number of requests for a give a little page to help raise money for for the restoration and repairs, I was really blown away. I was unsure how to respond at first and said so. I’m incredibly touched by the thought so many people were wanting to help.as some of you know , I’ve been quietly selling my dahlias on trademe to fund the costs of the many things we need to do still , and only yesterday decided to be more vocal about it. To wake up too the news that people weren’t judging me for my actions but wanted to help instead, Im not sure what to say other than thank from my entire family, and from myself. I might be a bit teary today!
