I have been fortunate to get a discounted use by Sunny Gymz at the Sunshine Capital of NZ - Whakatane. They have given me a discounted membership for a month to allow me to use their facility to prepare. I have had an assessment with a trainer to develop a programme to lift my jumping height further. This has helped me greatly as the gym is also 24hrs so I train after hours.
We have had the pleasure of Des helping us with lots of training tips and exercises. Anyone in the Eastern Bay has been able to attend and learn off Des. We even had someone from Rotorua travelled over. Teams from Trident High School and Tarawera High School were also in attendance. I attended both Sat 14 and Sun 15 June. This is great for my development and preparation to go to the USA.

Hi All,
I thought I will just update you on what's been happening. Since there's no more school volleyball I have been playing with the Midlands team who is a collection of the Eastern Bay of Plenty teams. We play in a men's competition which is good learning as they are far more developed and powerful. It is such fun to play and learn against these other guys.
