Omokoroa Community Garden

Firstly, Thank you for all of your generous donations. It's amazing how it all adds up.

I spent Friday at the Pahoia school learning all about their "Garden to table" scheme. I sat and ate a meal which the kids had harvested and cooked themselves that morning. It was a great experience and one I hope we can bring to OPS. I just need some willing parents to step up and join the team. Let me know if this sounds like you!

Kati Kati advertiser have contacted me and would like to promote our garden so will be meeting with them next Friday.

I have a meeting with Ena of the Good Neighbour trust on Tuesday week to see what the benefits of joining up with them. They are able to help build and install the planter beds and provide accounting services.

Finally, I would like to get sponsorship for each of the planter beds. It's safe to say the generous folk of Omokoroa community are on their way to sponsoring two of them. Please contact me if you can think of a company that might be willing.
