On going vet care

Lucie is our golden retriever who happens to use a wheelchair. She is paralysed, but that has never stopped her from living life completely on her own terms.

She has been part of my life for the last 5 years, she loves swimming, playing, getting muddy and being involved in absolutely everything. She is stubborn, hilarious, a complete diva, and so much more than her wheelchair.

Sadly, Lucie’s cancer has returned, and we now know our time with her is very limited.

At this stage, our focus is simply on keeping her comfortable, happy and enjoying the things she loves for as long as she can. With that comes ongoing vet appointments, medication, tests and other costs involved in caring for her at the end of her life.

I’ve created this page to help with those veterinary expenses and to make this final part of Lucie’s journey as comfortable and peaceful as possible.

Any contribution would mean so much to us and will go directly towards Lucie’s care. Most of all, we just want her remaining time to be filled with the things that have always made her Lucie love, walks, treats, toys, swimming, and plenty of attention. ❤️
