Week One Update

The love and support coming from all around the country has been nothing short of extraordinary. Rory is incredibly grateful for the generous donations, heartfelt messages, and encouragement from everyone thank you so much, team.

After just one week, Rory’s legs are recovering faster than his arms due to the damage to his neck. There has already been some positive progress: he now has slight movement in his fingers, can slightly move his right arm, and is even able to bend his left leg, all amazing steps forward. Yesterday they even got him to a sited position. Today he is being moved to the Burwood Spinal Unit.

The nurses, staff, and physiotherapists at Christchurch Hospital have been absolutely exceptional, and we are so thankful for the care, dedication, and support they continue to provide every day.
