This page follows our family’s journey as we raise funds for our boys surgeries and raise awareness about Hypospadias.
Whitby, Porirua
At just 3 years old, our brave little boy, Bram, has already endured more surgeries and hospital visits than most people face in a lifetime.
Bram was born with Hypospadias, and although his initial condition was considered a mild case, a simple fix, the journey we have faced has been anything but.
Since turning 1, Bram has undergone 4 major surgeries, a circumcision, a skin graft, a life-saving blood transfusion and 3 emergency surgeries just to allow him to empty his bladder without excruciating pain. By the age of 3, he had already been under anesthetic 9 times.
We are at the point where local options have been exhausted and we have been advised to seek specialized care in the US with Dr. Warren Snodgrass.
Devastatingly, during our consultation, we learned that our 5 yr old son, Brayden, will also require surgery for a condition called Chordee.
After witnessing everything Bram has already endured, the thought of Brayden facing similar complications and repeated surgeries is unthinkable for us.
The financial burden of multiple overseas surgeries is overwhelming, the total cost is far beyond what we can manage on our own. We are reaching out for support to help give our boys the healthy future they deserve.
Every donation, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to getting our boys the care they need. If you are unable to donate, sharing our story would mean the world to us.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for supporting our family!
Funds will go towards:
• Specialist surgical care in the USA
• Visas, flights, accommodation, and travel & living costs
• Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy to support healing
• Ongoing treatment-related expenses
Hypospadias Awareness 4 July 2026
Hypospadias may seem like just a physical difference, but its impact reaches far beyond what can be seen.
As boys grow older, many begin to realise they are different. That awareness can affect their confidence, self-esteem and mental wellbeing, creating emotional and psychological challenges that often go unnoticed.
Our mission is to raise awareness not only of the condition itself, but also of the emotional and psychological impact it can have on boys and their families.
Because healing isn’t just physical.
