We provide opportunities for people with disabilities to pursue a supported and independent lifestyle
Walk or run to support those less able
WellingtonJoin us for the Wellington Round the Bays on 21 February 2021 and help support the great work of the Laura Fergusson Trust in creating opportunities for people with disabilities.
Everyone is welcome to join in - engaging with people in everyday activities and events means a huge amount to those we support - whatever your age or fitness level, there's a fun and rewarding way to take part.
You can take part any way you like:
- make a donation on this page,
- run your own event (6.5km, 10km or 21km run or walk), or
- join our clients, staff and supporters as we walk the 6.5km course together.
Please join us and set up a fundraiser page as part of our team.
About us
The Laura Fergusson Trust is an independent charity providing residential, rehabilitation, respite and recreational services for adults with physical or neurological impairments. The organisation has been proudly serving the Wellington disability community for over 40 years.
The Trust's mission is to provide opportunities for people with disabilities to pursue a supported and independent lifestyle. Our focus is on what clients can do, not what they can’t do and this is achieved in a functional manner through engagement in real life activities.
We provide for 44 residents at our Naenae and Whanganui bases, while also supporting a large number of clients in the community.
Use of funds
Our gym is in constant need of new equipment and funds from this event will go towards this.
