Kayla gave so much to others throughout her life; now it’s our turn to give a little back by supporting those she loved.
Pukekohe, Auckland
Some people leave a mark on this world that can never be measured, and Kayla was one of those people.
Taken far too soon after a short but courageous battle with cancer, she has gained her wings, leaving behind a world a little less bright without her in it. She had so many more adventures ahead of her and so much more life left to live.
Working in Early Childhood Education, she touched the lives of hundreds of children and their families. She had a beautiful teacher’s heart, and the children adored her just as much as she adored them. She was a no fuss kind of person who rolled up her sleeves, got stuck in and was always looking out for others. Kind, thoughtful and always available, she gave so much of herself without ever expecting anything in return.
This Givealittle page has been created to support her family and beloved partner with funeral expenses and the unexpected costs that come with losing someone so special.
Any contribution, no matter how small, will help ease some of this burden during an incredibly heartbreaking time. If you are unable to donate, sharing this page would also mean so much.

Fly high, beautiful girl. You gained your wings far too soon, but the love you gave and the lives you touched will never be forgotten.
A long-time colleague who became a special friend.
Funds raised will go towards funeral expenses and living costs faced by her parents, Lesley and Colin Swindail, and beloved girlfriend, Danielle Steadman, as they navigate this heartbreaking loss.
