Supporting our Lucy in whatever way she can so she can focus on her health and out herself first during this difficult time
Hamilton, Waikato
Our beautiful mum, Lucy Afoa, is a devoted wife, mum, and grandma. She is one of the most humble and selfless women we know—always putting her family, church, and community before herself. Mum has never been one to ask for help; she is always the first to give, serve, and show up for others with love and grace.
Lucy has recently been diagnosed with bowel cancer. She has bravely undergone surgery to remove the tumour and has already completed two cycles of chemotherapy, with more treatment ahead. Despite everything she is facing, Mum continues to work and remain positive as she courageously fights this battle, showing strength beyond words.
Family
We are creating this page so she can focus fully on her health and recovery without the added burden of financial stress. Funds raised will help support her through treatment and allow her the time and rest she truly deserves. May God bless you abundantly
THANK YOU 2 February 2026
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone who has supported Lucy during Mum’s fight against bowel cancer. We truly cannot put into words how grateful and humbled we are by the love that has surrounded our family.
Whether you donated financially, supported us through prayer, or sent kind messages of encouragement, every single gesture has meant more than you know. Lucy is fighting with strength and courage, and she is so deeply grateful for the outpouring of love, kindness, and support that has been poured into her throughout this journey. Mum has been completely overwhelmed by the generosity and compassion shown by so many people, near and far.
Your support has lifted us during the hardest moments and reminded us that we are not alone. We are so deeply thankful for each and every one of you. We pray that you continue to love one another, and that God blesses you abundantly for the kindness you have shown.
With endless gratitude and love,
Thank you ❤️
