Our chance to help and give back to Andy!
Bay of Plenty
On the 9th of January, Andy suffered a serious and life-threatening injury while out on the water at work. Being based in Coromandel, Andy was airlifted to Middlemore hospital in Auckland, and now has a long road to recovery ahead of him, that will involve many surgeries and months of rehabilitation away from home.
For those of you who know Andy, I am sure your first thought will be the same as many others - It’s no cliche, Andy is always the first person to help ANYONE in need, in any way he can. Andy’s entire life revolves around his wife and three children and extended family. Having a physical job as a skipper, also being an integral member of the Manaia Fire Service for his community, and was also about to embark on building his family home - all of which will now be affected immensely. Andy’s wife Ally has also had to put her business on-hold to be with Andy in Auckland.
We know so many people are wanting to help Andy and his whānau, so we wanted to set up this avenue for anyone to do so. All funds will go directly to Ally to help ease the financial pressure and burden during this time such as loss of income, accomodation costs for Ally and the children in Auckland, and anything else to help in this difficult time.
Andy is my brother in-law
On-going living costs in the coromandel, accomodation costs for Ally and the kids in Auckland for the foreseeable future, basic living costs due to loss of both incomes.
Thank you! 14 January 2023
