Our dearest Mary is facing every parent’s worst nightmare. On January 6th, Mary was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour.

  • Your donations are being used for a new treatment for Mary ❤️

A little update on Mary ❤️

Firstly, your support is already being put to work and we honestly can’t thank you enough.

Mary has just come through a really intense round of private radiation and chemo and handled it like the absolute girl boss she is. It hasn’t been easy, she’s also had two pretty wild hospital stays including another tough brain surgery, but she keeps showing up with so much strength.

The good news is she’s home at the moment and still feeling positive, just very tired. She’s just started a fortnightly IV chemo infusion at around $86k, which is only possible because of all of you!

We’re also really excited to share that she’s been accepted into an experimental treatment in Germany at around $100k. There are still a few unknowns, like whether long haul travel is ok and how it fits with what she’s doing now, but it feels like another bit of hope on the horizon.

Thank you for being part of this with us. It means more than we can say ❤️ Any donation is another ray of hope ☀️⛅️☀️ I will be setting up a meal train soon to help Hayden, Mary and the kids xox

Hi everyone, Mary started private treatment this week and she is feeling good, and tolerating it well. She is feeling strong and positive. We are so grateful for all donations which are helping with access to treatment, the positive messages and support you are giving her at this time. Here is a pic that her youngest drew of Mummy the superhero ❤️ couldn’t agree more baby girl!

  • Update on treatment for Mary

      19 January 2026

We wanted to share an important update. Yesterday we met with an incredible private oncologist who showed such kindness and compassion. He even opened his practice on a Sunday so Mary could be seen and begin treatment as soon as possible. That generosity has given us the hope we so desperately needed.

Mary will be starting treatment this week and will be accessing everything available to her through private routes here in New Zealand. As she begins daily treatment, Mary will mostly be staying in Auckland, as the travel to and from Northland is too much while she focuses on treatment and rest.

We cannot thank you enough for the love, kindness, and support you have shown Mary, Hayden, and their family. Your very generous donations are making this possible and are allowing Mary to focus fully on her treatment and family. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.

  • Help us get to our goal of $200,000

      11 January 2026

Hi everyone, whilst we don’t have details of costs and options for Mary, we do know some chemo is approximately $60,000 a round privately. Also, surgery overseas will be very expensive. Thank you so much for your huge generosity. Mary and Hayden are super grateful and every donation is giving Mary more hope xox
