Our little Hank is on a new Journey fighting for his life :(

Hank lost his battle with lymphoma on Wednesday 24th January. He deteriorated so quickly, we thought we had more time.

The loss that we feel is immeasurable. He has left a large gaping hole in the house and our lives.

Thank you so much for your kind words and support, it helped us and Hank in our time of need.

Our wish is that all animals know the love that was showered upon Hank. If you can, foster or adopt and show them that there are beautiful people willing to do beautiful things for them and those that have no voice. They all deserve it.

    Much love, Hanks family

First off, thank you so much for your support. It’s helped with some of our stress levels during this time with Hank.

He had his 4th chemo session this week. He is doing as well as can be hoped for. The treatments really take it out of him for a few days after.

His lymph nodes have shrunk but still not back to normal size yet. I’m told when they are back to normal size he is in full remission. This usually occurred after the first 4 week round. Our next chemo is on 30th August, so crossing our fingers we get the result we want.

Right now he is snuggled under a blanket surrounded in love.

Thank you so much again for your support during this time ♥️

This last week has been a struggle for us. We are seeing a distinct difference in Hanks appearance. He had a few rough days that’s terrified me of what may happen.

After starting more meds he seems to be coming right and hopefully will be healthy enough to have his next chemo on Thursday.

We have a break next week before another 4 week course.

Thank you so much for your continued support and kind words ♥️

  • We are showing signs of remission taking hold

Yesterday Hank had his 2nd dose of chemo as well as blood tests. His lymph nodes have all reduced drastically in size to almost normal. This along with the bloods show signs that remission has started to occur. Patrick our Oncologist at ARC is confident Hank will go into full remission.

The Lymphoma is classed as grade 4(a), he gets the grade 4 as the scans he had showed something going on in his spleen but without further testing we don't know what, however, with or without this extra test the treatment will still be the same, and we would rather spend the money on his treatment (these tests are not cheap). The (a) in the grade just means its a low grade 4, so that's a good thing.

Hank is doing really well so far.

Thank you all for your kind words and support, it gives us peace of mind knowing that we won't be running out of money to pay for his chemo any time soon, so thank you from the bottom of our hearts (and Hanky's)
