Our Mommy Nene

Benita “Nene” Senining. She’s 73 years old and we call her “Mommy Nene”. Mommy is the eldest daughter and took care of her siblings at an early age, including my very own mother (Anita). She started working as a dressmaker and then later on opened her own little dressmaking shop. My siblings, cousins and I basically grew up under Mommy Nene’s roof. Mommy never got married and never had her own children. But my siblings and cousins were all hers - she is our Mommy! She all helped us when we were little and we won’t be where we are today, if not for her. She is part of our success.

Unfortunately, Mommy was infected with COVID in Cebu, Philippines where Covid delta variant is rampant. She is now in the hospital mending. Friends and family, we humbly ask for help with Mommy’s hospital bill. The PPE alone costs 30 US dollars every time a nurse comes into her room, not to mention medications and other treatment. Every little penny counts. It’s time to give back to Mommy Nene. After all, she is the best Auntie in the world!
