Two siblings, one battle - Help our family through childhood cancer
Wellington
Our family has been struck not once, but twice, by the unimaginable. Our daughter is nearing one year into her battle with leukemia — and just six months ago, our son was also diagnosed with the same illness. Being told your child has cancer is every parent’s worst nightmare — hearing it twice is something no family should ever have to endure.
It’s incredibly rare for two siblings to be diagnosed with leukemia, and coming to terms with this heartbreaking reality has been the hardest thing we’ve ever faced. Each of our children is at different stage in their treatment journey, with unique needs and challenges. Balancing hospital visits, medications, emotional support, and daily care has become our full-time focus, and our only priority.
As a result, neither parent is currently able to work. Our days are spent managing appointments, treatments, and travel — all while trying to maintain some sense of normality for our children. Over the next eight weeks, we’ll be traveling to and from Christchurch every other week for Darius’ treatment, which adds another layer of financial and emotional stress.
We’ve created this page to humbly ask for support. Any donation — big or small — that will go directly toward helping us manage through this time and focus on what matters most: our children’s health and healing.
Thank you for keeping our family in your thoughts and prayers. Your support and love means the world to us xx
Use of funds will be for daily living costs, ongoing travel costs, transport, essential living costs, and car maintenance. All the essentials that we are needing to keep afloat and care for our babies.

After spending the week at CHOC in Christchurch hospital we arrived back home in Wellington last night 🎊 Both kids have had a busy week, we are so proud at how they tackle each day 🫶🏽 We will be using this week to hopefully recharge, and somehow rest in between doctor appointments before returning to Christchurch the week after next!
Fa’afetai tele lava, Ngā mihi nui and a huge heartfelt thank you to each and everyone of you that has supported my family 🥹 To think we only shared our story 4 days ago, yet have been inundated with so many messages of love and support from people all over the nation means so much to us! I’m sorry I may not have replied to your messages but please know I acknowledge and and take in every thoughtful message xx
Thank you all again ♥️♥️♥️
