Lets get Ocean walking - Our journey to SDR

    Today is a very special day for Ocean and I!

    A day that changed both our lives in the most extraordinary way, today one year ago, Ocean had her SDR surgery at the St Louis Children's Hospital in Missouri, and because of this Ocean is walking!!!

    I can't even begin to express the amount of love and gratitude I feel towards each and every person who offered us support (in all its forms!) on this mammoth journey! The amount of hard work, and effort, that so many amazing people put in to get us here is absolutely mind blowing. It has been a truly humbling experence and one I will never forget.

    Today my heart feels as though it might explode as I reflect and reminisce on how far we have come, this incredible journey, the support we recieved, how blessed we are, and all the hard work my beautiful, strong, brave, determined daughter has put in to be where she is now. Hours upon hours of intensive therapy, strength training, learning to walk despite the challenges, all the while staying her spirited, vibrant, positive, fun self. It is an absolute dream come true to be where we are today!!!

  • A wee update

    Hey Everyone!

    I just want to say a HUGE thank you to all the amazing people out there who have been supporting us on this massive journey! So far we have had some awesome events and we have afew more up our sleeve! 2nd of June is our Enchanted Fairytale Charity Ball which we are looking forward too, and theres lots of other cool things happening in our community!

    We now have our surgery date! 31st of July is the day Ocean goes in for surgery and our first appointment at Hospital is the day before. So our hospital bill has to be paid 45 days prior on 15th June.

    We have now raised a total of $48,000! And need a total of between $85,000-$95,000 to cover hospital bill, another $7000 to cover accommodation. Our flights are covered by Oceana Gold. And we will then need another $50,000 to cover all the intensive therapy post op for the following two years!

    So we are getting there but still a long way to go!

    Thank you all soooo much for your incredible support! Every donation big or small counts and takes us one step closer to reaching our goal! We couldn't have got this far without all your wonderful support!
