Help us purchase hygiene products to create care packs for foster children, ensuring every child has access to basic necessities.
Wellington
Every child deserves to feel clean, cared for, and valued. Right now in New Zealand, thousands of tamariki and rangatahi are living in foster care. Many enter new care arrangements with very few personal belongings, and some arrive without even basic hygiene essentials.
That's where we hope to make a difference.
We are Rākapa, Isobel, and Tilly, Year 10 students from Queen Margaret College. As part of our Kaupapa Hapori (Community Project), we are supporting the incredible work of Foster Hope, a charity that provides backpacks filled with essential items for children entering foster care.
Our goal is simple, we want to raise funds to provide 60 hygiene packs for children aged 5 to 9 years.
Each pack will include:
✅ Toothbrush
✅ Toothpaste
✅ Shampoo
✅ Soap
✅ Comb or hairbrush
✅ Facecloth
By donating to this project, you are ensuring that children facing a difficult transition receive practical items and support.
How You Can Help
Every dollar donated will go towards purchasing hygiene products for our Hope Packs. No donation is too small.
$10 helps provide essential toiletries.
$35 helps contribute towards a complete hygiene pack.
$70 helps support multiple children entering foster care.
Any amount helps us get closer to our goal of 60 packs.
We will assemble 60 Hope Packs and deliver them to Foster Hope, who will include them in the backpacks they distribute to children entering foster care.
Please donate today and help us Pack Kindness. Share Hope.
I am a parent co-ordinating this page for students undertaking a Kaupapa Hapori (Community Project) aiming to provide 60 'Hope Packs' to Foster Hope Lower North Island for distribution to children in care who need them.
All money raised will go directly into purchasing the products for our 'Hope Packs', the more money we raise the more packs we can provide to Foster Hope.
