A long distance paddle across the world famous surf breaks of Raglan, raising money to provide relief for Mahmoud Sabra & his family.
Waikato
On the 21st December some friends and I will be paddling our surfboards approximately 2.7km across Raglan's famous surf breaks, from Indicators to the Life Saving Club at Ngaranui Beach, to raise money to provide relief for my friend Mahmoud Sabra & his family.
Mahmoud is a 24yr old Palestinian who had studied Computer Engineering at Al-Quds Open University and played football at the Olives Sports Club. After the bombing of his house he and his family of 7 have lost everything, and have been displaced from the north of Gaza to the city of Deir Al-Balah in the south, a journey they had to make on foot. They now live in a tent constructed out of pieces of wood and food parcel bags.
This campaign will help with daily expenses including food for him & his family, the prices of which have soared due to the shortage of aid getting in. Before the war a sack of flour cost 40 shekels ($18) and milk powder cost 30 shekels ($14). Now, in the centre and south of the strip, where most of the population has fled, prices have reached 375 shekels ($175) and 300 shekels ($140) – if supplies can be found.
Money raised through this campaign will be donated to Mahmouds GoFundMe, set up by Cherokee Hunt:

Thank you.
I met Mahmoud online through a friend of a friend who I am in personal contact with.
All money raised will go to Mahmoud and his family, helping them afford daily expenses. Give a Little takes a 5% cut, please consider this when donating.
Funds will be passed to him via this GoFundMe page: https://www.gofundme.com/f/mahmoud-escaping-war
