The 1913 club's members will create the next 100 years of Paekākāriki Surf Lifeguards by supporting our much-needed redevelopment project.
Wellington
The Paekākāriki Surf Lifeguards are undertaking a much-needed redevelopment project. Our ramp is long gone after increasing erosion and our building was demolished in November 2022 after failing structural safety tests. Our lifeguards are now operating out of shipping containers. We are building a new Clubhouse and Equipment Facility, along with improved beach access and other related infrastructure.
It’s a big project but we are pleased to say we are well on the way to creating something very special for the whole community. We’ll be ready to start the build within six months.
We’d like to give you the opportunity to be part of our ‘1913 Club’ and in doing so, help create our future. Members of the 1913 Club will support the redevelopment project by making a regular, on-going financial contribution to the Club of $19.30 - that’s less than 4 coffees!
Your contribution of $19.30 can be set up as a repeating donation and be made weekly, fortnightly or monthly. All donations are Tax Deductible. There is no minimum time period and you can stop your payment at any time. However we’ll be thanking long term members of the club with exclusive items, such as the 1913 Club Hat, as milestones are met.
We’d really appreciate your support, so if you are willing to join the 1913 Club please donate here. If you have any questions or want another way to give, please contact Sarah on pslnippers@gmail.com
Help create this legacy today by joining the 1913 club.
We’re a volunteer surf life saving club on the Kāpiti Coast, just outside of Wellington, New Zealand. Our membership is made up of 200+ members across both junior and senior divisions.
100% of the funds will go to our new building project. We're raising $3.5m to house future generations of lifeguards to patrol our beaches.
Woohoo! Our first million dollar funder! 3 March 2023
We are VERY happy and excited to announce that we have secured the cornerstone funder for our new build project. We’re thrilled to have the support of Kāpiti Coast District Council who announced that they will contribute $1million towards the new building. This is the first major funding the club has received and with the $500,000 already raised through supporters like you, it enables us to push forward with the $4.5m build project. It’s still a long way until we’re in our new home and we will be pushing hard in the next 12 months to raise more money through community fundraising activities and other funders. If anyone can support the build please get in touch via our website or social media pages. And huge thanks to KCDC!
