For the second time this year our school has been broken in to. We love our school and are very sad this has happened again. Please help!

Northland

For the second time this year our school has been broken in to and tools stolen! This time it's our lawn mower (again), weedeater (again) and chainsaw - all bought to keep our school looking tip top for our students and community.

All of us at Paparoa School take heaps of pride in our place and we are so sad that this has happened again. We are insured, but each claim carries an excess of $500 - that's $1,000 that has been taken away from our kids!!

Last week our pool was filled and is now being made ready for the swimming season for our students and for the community. The morning after the pool was filled we found rusty debris and food had been thrown in.

We wanted to start a givealittle page to cover the cost of the insurance excess payments - this is definitely not in the carefully managed budget! - and, if there's enough left over, some extra security measures at school.

About us

We are a small rural school in the beautiful Kaipara with a wonderfully supportive community around us.

Use of funds

Funds raised will cover the insurance excess payments and hopefully there will be some left to go towards extra security measures around the school grounds.
