Raising money for a family coming to terms with the sudden loss of a much loved father and husband.
Waikato
Over the course of the weekend our community was shocked to learn that Nan Liu, one of our much loved community members, had gone missing, and then heard that he had passed away, leaving his lovely wife Nancy and three beautiful children devastated. Nan, who has played a huge role within the local church, served as a school Board member, helped as a sports coach for years, was a small business owner and community volunteer. He leaves a massive void and will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
The family now find themselves in a really challenging position, so this page has been set up as a way to support the family at this devastating time. The family ran a very popular dumpling restaurant on Hood Street in Hamilton, which is currently closed. With funeral costs looming, bill payments continuing to mount, the support will allow Nancy the time away from work to support the children. We would appreciate all the communities that Nan and the family have connected with, to consider making small financial donations if they are able to support the family through the tough times ahead.
As you can appreciate the circumstances have come out of the blue and the family needs us. For those of you who had the pleasure of knowing Nan, you would know that he would have been first in line to help someone in need or rally in a time of crisis. He was a community champion and we will miss him.
Supporting with the cost of living, utilities and supporting the three children.
