Patella Surgery for Cogsworth

  • Another surgery needed

    Last week we took Cogsworth in for x-rays as we noticed he had gone back to avoiding putting weight on his leg. Unfortunately, it looks like his initial surgery was unsuccessful and his knee has popped back out of place :(

    Cogsoworth is booked in for another surgery tomorrow so we are really hoping for a better outcome this time. It is also looking like his other knee is having some issues now too so he may need some work done on that one as well, we will find out tomorrow.

    Coggy is recovering well and had his stiches out today! He is now allowed out of his crate for 5 minutes once a day and we have some exercises to do with him that will help build his leg muscles back up as well.

    We have also raised enough to cover the entire cost of his surgery which is amazing! Coggy's sister Belle had surgery for the same issue last week and we are paying part of the surgery costs for her as well so we really really appreciate everyone who has helped us out with this ❤️

    A HUGE thank you to everyone who has donated to Cogworth's surgery. We are so incredibly greatful for all the support!

    Cogsworth had his surgery yesterday and it all went well! He is back at the cafe now, still his usual happy and smoochy self! He will be on crate rest for the next 6-8 weeks while he recovers though so you won't see him in the main room for awhile.

    We will keep you all updated on his recovery, and again, thank you all so much!
