Patsy’s Fight for stage 4 lung Cancer

We are trying to raise $80,000 for non-funded lung cancer treatment (Osimertinib) which cost 10,000 per month for treatment. AstraZeneca help fund this drug with private patients who don’t have government assistance and cap the cost at $80,000 for ongoing treatment.

At present, our only hope is chemo which is funded by the government, however, it gives you very little quality of life, with a life expectancy of 6 months but they don’t have a crystal ball.

Daniel, Krissie & Connor have given their mum/nanna $30,000 for the first 3 months as the pharmaceutical company requires the first payment now as mum needs to start her treatment ASAP.

Our research has told us this drug is fantastic for this type of lung cancer and if successful mum could have 2 – 3 more years and still have chemo as our last option.

Mum cannot work many days if any, as she is very unwell and it is not possible for her to even leave the house at the present.

Mum is only 62 years of age and has 5 grandchildren, 3 in NZ and 2 in Perth, who she would like to see and watch them grow over the next couple of years.

We are very concerned if mum/nanna does not complete this treatment she will not see Winter as she is deteriorating each day.
