An update: better-late-than-never?!!??
9 June 2020I've been meaning to send this update for months - I guess this is that thing where depression makes 99.172% of things super hard and slow to get done. But, finally, I'm writing it!
Thanks so much for your support in getting me to Vermont for the writing residency. Your belief in my writing meant (and means) so very much to me. Vermont was beautiful (I kept promising myself that I wouldn't take anymore photos of maple trees losing their leaves, and then next day, more photos...), the snow arrived early (and I was woefully unprepared for this) and the Gihon River was pretty stunning to walk past every day. I got a decent amount of writing and editing done - not as much as I'd hoped for, but when does that every really happen? - and Anne Waldman told me that Allen Ginsberg would've liked my writing, so I reckon that's a win.
