This page is raising funds to help with the vet bills of Paws Awhile, an independent animal sanctuary in Raglan, New Zealand.
Waikato
Paws Awhile is an independent animal sanctuary that provides a safe haven for animals rescued from abuse and neglect. The sanctuary is located in Raglan, in the beautiful Waikato region of New Zealand. Permanent residents include rescued dogs, cats, donkeys, ponies, cattle, pigs and chickens. Each winter we rescue as many bobby calves as we can find homes for.
Our vet bills for 2020 have already exceeded $10,000. This is double the amount we'd usually spend in an entire year.
We also have general farm bills such as animal bedding, equine dentistry and farrier, hay making, and sanctuary maintenance including fencing, fertiliser and spreader, water ram set-up, tree planting, and general up-keep and repairs.
In addition to the physical and emotional demands of running an animal sanctuary, this safe haven faces constant financial pressure. The majority of bills are paid by Anna's part-time job working from home on Healthline, and unfortunately, Paws Awhile is running at a continual loss which is not sustainable.
This Give A Little page hopes to provide a much-needed source of donations to help recoup some of the monies spent on this year's vet bills — as well as general expenses — which will continue to grow.
Any donation would be sincerely appreciated.
Funds raised will go towards vet bills.
