Help make the People’s Climate Rally massive

The more people who can get to the People’s Climate Rally, the better. So we’re pulling out all the stops so that everyone can make it, and has a place a stay.

We want to make sure that cost is not a barrier to you attending the event, but if possible please donate what you can to help fund your own place at the Rally and/or to help someone else to be there on the day.

It costs about $30 to provide food and accommodation for one person. If they need transport too, it’s about $100 all up.

We know it’s not easy to travel for a protest, especially in the middle of the week. So we're organising accommodation and meals, have set up a ride-share page, and are looking at organising some mini-bus transport to Taranaki.

But the costs are adding up and we really need your help to pull this off.

Here’s our vision. As hundreds of oil industry delegates descend on New Plymouth, thousands more New Zealanders will come together to peacefully resist the dirty energy industry and promote a just transition to a renewable future. Help us make it happen.

The small print: Donations made through this page will go exclusively towards covering the costs of transport, accommodation and food for participants to attend the three-day People’s Climate Rally event. Oil Free Wellington is handling donations on behalf of the People’s Climate Rally Coalition, which includes Climate Justice Taranaki, Frack Free, Oil Free Wellington, Greenpeace, 350 Aotearoa, Pacific Panther Network, Parihaka, Ngatiawa Ki Taranaki Trust, Oil Free Auckland and Friends of the Waitara River Inc.
