  • Delayed surgery

      4 January 2025

Kia Ora whanau. Sorry I haven't updated since November. Hella still hasn't had her surgery due to being heavily pregnant and moving to a new house. Since then, vet plus rotorua have been trying to contact me, however I haven't been able to get Hella to her vet. Iv tried calling the vet unfortunately there hasn't been any answer. Iv also tried contacting them through email and still no answer. However, I have given birth to my new born baby and trying to juggle everything has been very hectic. In saying this, I will be contacting the vet again on Monday to get Hella an appointment to get what she needs sorted.

Rest assured I have all the funds that have been donated to her to move forward with her surgery.

Sorry for the inconvenience, naku Noa

    Maioha, family and Hella.

  • Awesome recovery 🥰

      29 October 2024

It's been 1 week and 4 days since baby Hella-Bella has been out of the vet and at home recovering from her amputation on her tail. She is doing so well and has 4 doses of meds till she's finished which has helped her tail to heal so much. She's still so happy and lively but we still have 4 weeks and 3 more days till she's fully recovered.

Once she has recovered we will then be moving forward with her surgery on her palvice where she was hit by the Ford ranger.

Again, thank you to everyone who has donated we really do appreciate everyone who has supported us in anyway possible 😊

    Our kindest most humble regards

    Hella and our whanau ❤️

  • Home on bed rest after amputation surgery on tail

      18 October 2024

Kia Ora whanau ❤️ Hellas surgery went well and the vet was happy to send her home. Hella has had her tail amputated as of yesterday and she'll be home on bed rest for the next 6 weeks.

Hella is on medication and Atibiotics which VET PLUS has prescribed for her well she's recovering.

Hella will undergo her next surgery on her Palvice in rotorua once she has recovered from her tail being amputated Which will be next month.

Givealittle doesn't pay out funds a month after the end date given which is great because her surgery isn't until next month anyway. It will all work out in the end 🥰

Once Hella has had her surgery on her palvice I will make sure to post her quote in a updated post here on the givealittle sight to insure that the funds raised have been put towards her surgery 😊

I'll continue to update as we move forward!

Once again, I extend my gratitude and appreciation to everyone who has donated, shared Hellas post, given support and love to Hella and our family. This next surgery wouldn't be able to happen without you all! ❤️❤️❤️

My most kindest regards, aroha and manaakitanga to you all,

    Maioha Raukawa-Phillips, Hella-Bella and our whanau ❤️❤️❤️

  • UPDATED ESTIMATE FOR HELLA!

      17 October 2024
    Main image

Kia Ora whanau, we have got an updated and new estimate for Hellas surgery!!

Hella will no longer need to go to Tauranga or Matamata to undergo her surgery as the VET PLUS has arranged to do the surgery here in Rotorua. Therefore bringing the Estimated total to $2,200!

However, Hella will need to stay over night at the VET PLUS to be monitored once surgery has been done. HELLA will need more antibiotics, over night stay fee, more fluids and pain relief once she has had her surgery which will cost a further $450 and some.

I would like to apologise for my recent post. Hella was not at the SPCA (that's the first place I went before going to VET PLUS) Which is directly across the road from VET PLUS! I'm deeply sorry for getting that wrong and hope those who were offended accept my apology.

Secondly, I'd like to extend me appreciation to everyone who has donated, showed love and supported myself and family and our Hella girl through this Rough patch we have just been through. I am truly grateful for every single one of you! Goes to show that there are decent, kind, caring, loving dog lovers out there!! I will make sure to repay the favour by giving back to those In need!!

My most kindest regards, love and manaakitanga

    Maioha Raukawa-Phillips.
