Penguin People NZ - Kaitiaki o ngā kororā

Please help raise some funds for the local Penguin People NZ charity - Kaitiaki o ngā kororā - protecting our precious little blue penguins/kororā.

Penguin People are a group of keen volunteers who monitor the special colony of little blue penguins o Matiu/Somes Island. The money raised will help fund the journey to and from the island for volunteers and any equipment needed for the penguin monitoring seasons and nest box maintenance.

The penguins find a nesting place, seemingly liking nest boxes (maintained by the Penguin People - Kaitiaki o ngā kororā), they pair up and usually have 2-3 eggs. One Penguin stays to warm the eggs and the other goes to feed in the sea. Then once hatched the parents go to see food to provide their young until they have fully fledged and are ready to go swimming to find food for themselves.
