Pensioner needs car for medical appointments

Hi everyone, I am raising funds for my partner so he can buy a car. Our car died last week, the cost to repair it again was equivalent to buying a second hand car. The picture is a lifestyle he can no longer enjoy

He is 73 and uses a cane to walk around because of his arthritis and uses a disabled parking permit. Because the cost of everything keeps going up and because we have had a horrible year with my job being reviewed currently and no increases in pay for at least 8 years I'm putting pride aside and asking for help. Also it seems being left over with nothing after a pay is not bad enough to get WINZ help.

M has a heart condition, diabetes, skin cancers and arthritis. Because we live out west a lot of his appointments are handled at North Shore hospital which is not easy to get to. It is also quicker to get him to Waitakere hospital by car than wait for an ambulance we cannot afford when he has an angina attack. Because he is proud I'm concerned he would rather wait out an attack than do something about it, hopefully it would not be fatal. He can't even get to his GP appointments so getting renewed prescriptions could be out of the question
