Pukekohe Family Tragedy in Picton
Nationwide
This family has suffered the devastating Picton van tragedy which will impact the surviving members forever. Seven members of the family are deceased.
We recently employed the two sisters who worked as community support workers. They both were in Auckland when this tragedy occurred with one of them helping our complex care client at the time of the tragedy.
Leading up to employment, we had the opportunity to meet some of the family members at their beautiful, rented Pukekohe address. From the outset we knew we had two special employee's and their mother had a star personality which gave us a smile on the way home.
As their employer, we will support the surviving members as best as we can, but unexpected costs have suddenly appeared which will be difficult for the two young sisters and the surviving brothers to cope with right at this time and going forward.
The whole healthcare team is struggling to come to terms with what happened and know the rest of New Zealand is feeling the same. All we ask is to donate some money to the surviving members and give them support to navigate life comfortably as possible in these trying times. These young adults will struggle to get back on their feet and live a normal life.
We really appreciate your support.
