Bullying in NZ schools is among the worst in the world. Research indicates that three-quarters of primary school children have been bullied in the past month. Every school day our Family Works social workers are working in nearly 130 low-decile primary and intermediate schools, providing support to help make school a safe place where children can learn and thrive.
We work alongside children and families, helping them to make positive and lasting changes in their lives; the aged, disabled and injured, enabling them to thrive in their homes, stay healthy and engage with their communities;the financially disadvantaged, showing them how to move toward financial stability.
