    Hi everyone,

    We wanted to thank you all for the love and support that everyone has given our family over the past 6 months. This year has been one of the hardest we have all had to experience, and we really appreciate all the generosity and kindness people have given. We are so blessed to still have Benji with us today. He is such a strong boy and we are all enjoying every moment with him that we can.

    As Benjis give a little page will be coming to an end, we would like to say on behalf of the Read/Barrett family that all donations have been greatly appreciated. We are overwhelmed with how everyone has come together and found a way to support Sam and Liv through all of this.

    For anyone who would like to - Donations are still welcome until the 22nd of September when the page closes.

  • Benjis latest update

    Hi everyone,

    Just wanting to write an update about Benji and how he's been doing. As most of you would already know from previous updates that sadly there is no treatment that can be done to help with Benjis tumour. His parents and family have been trying their best to make him feel comfortable by monitoring his daily meds and they're doing a great job, he still has the cheekiest smiles on his good days.

    The last couple of months have been significantly life changing, but Benji and his family have been making the most of this time together. They decided they would go on a road trip for 2 weeks around the south island, they had a fantastic time and made some amazing memories.

    On the 29th May Sam and Liv made their family official by tying the knot and Mr Benji was one of his dads best men, he looked so handsome!

    Lastly, I would just like to say another huge thank you to everyone who has been of support through all of this, we are all so thankful and forever grateful.

  • Benjis Update

    We would like to say on behalf of Benji and his family that they are so heart warmed and overwhelmed by all the support and donations received, everyone has just been amazing and we are feeling so much love from all around, thank you so so much ❤️

    This last week Benji has been lucky enough to spend it at home with his family whilst waiting on results for his biopsy.

    It’s with great sadness to have to say that On Thursday 1st April Benjis parents received his biopsy results which have come back as non treatable. This means that he is not able to have chemotherapy and he may only have a couple of months left to share with his family ❤️

    We have no words to describe how emotional we all are, it is just absolutely devastating.

    On Friday the 2nd April Benji celebrated his first birthday ❤️ he had an amazing day around family and got super spoilt! Moments we will all treasure.

    I know this is a shock for everyone, but we would really appreciate if you could please respect Benjis parents privacy at this heartbreaking time and refrain from sending them love and regards directly as this is already a overwhelming time.

    Thank you so much again everyone for your love and support through all of this, we are forever grateful ❤️
