Please help Aseri (TJ) and his family
Auckland
I have created this page with the permission of Aseris' family.
Aseri (TJ) was a strong, fit and funny individual that was full of life. He loved training and playing sports especially rugby with his Fijian brothers from school- Kelston Boys High School.
He enrolled in this years Service Academy class and successfully completed a 2 week Induction Camp at Waiouru Military Camp. His goals to achieve were:
Academic Goals-
1. Graduate from Service Academy.
2. Gain NCEA Level 3
Sporting Goals-
1. Try and get into a premier sports team for school (Rugby)
2. To make the Nationals Team for Either Fiji or NZ (Rugby)
Life Goal- To gain good employment and help my family.
Unfortunately, a horrific swimming accident has left TJ paralyzed from the shoulders down.
The accident happened on the last Friday of Term 1 (12/4/2019) and TJ is still needing support breathing at the spinal unit at Middlemore Hospital. When TJ is cleared from ICU he is going to require a lot of rehabilitation and it will be a long road back through recovery for him and the family.
We felt helpless seeing TJ in hospital and realising that theres nothing we can do but trust in the Lord for his recovery. On the second visit with TJ's class we were all brought to tears seeing him like this. Setting this Givealittle page up would help show the love we have for TJ and his family, knowing the long road to recovery ahead of them. Please show your love and support to TJ and his family.
I am Aseris' Service Academy Teacher at Kelston Boys High School. I wanted to create this page to help Aseri and the Bese family as they cope with this life changing injury and the upcoming challenges.
Supporting Aseris rehabilitation and also any costs occurred for his care.
Any surplus money to help support Aseris family needs.
