Please help Liam to start again.

  • Trying to move forward

    Hi everyone. Thank you for checking in and checking up on Liam's progress! As you can understand, moving forward is the only way out of this horrible situation, and Liam is trying his best to do this. He is waiting for givealittle to release these funds now so he can purchase a new bed and bedding and a shaver. This will be his first big step. He will then look at getting contents insurance, in the hope that this doesn't happen again! He will eventually replace most things, but this will take years! We can't thank you enough for your concern, kindness and generosity!

  • 4 days after the fire

    As you can understand, there has been a lot going on since the fire. We have spent the last four days sifting through the debri in the hopes of salvaging something. Mostly it has been even more heart-breaking, when Liam has come to the realisation that he has lost more than he originally thought. The photos and personal items he had in his bedroom, the small things that you forget about - gone. Money saved for the Christmas holidays - gone. Then the garage items - not only all of his tools, there was $1000 of tyres and $1000 of rims he has just paid off for his 4WD, his picnic table that we gave him, his push-bike, scooter, collection of vintage bar mirrors (irreplaceable), CD collection, trolley jack, camping gear, fishing gear....the list is being added to daily! We would like to thank everyone who has donated so far - you are all incredibly kind and Liam is humbled by your genorosity! Thank you for following us on this journey. I promise to keep you updated.
