Cancer treatment needed, Richard du Toit.
Cancer treatment funds needed for KEYTRUDA for my dad who was diagnosed on 28 May 2020 and had his entire stomach removed on 02 June.Auckland
My dad was diagnosed with stomach cancer on 28 May 2020 and had surgery on 02 June 2020 to remove his entire stomach.
During the surgery, the doctor discovered that the lymphatic nodes around his aorta are affected too.
I am trying to raise funds to get KEYTRUDA for him to save his life. South Africa does not offer Keytruda as a subsidized cancer treatment and if you pay for it yourself, it costs ZAR 583,000.00 per session.
It would be wonderful if he could get to see his only grandson graduate university this November (he's the first person in our whole family who has ever achieved university graduation)
This same grandson also turns 21 in December and it would be really wonderful if he could be with us to celebrate this milestone.
Thank you in advance for your help and support in a time of severe stress and sadness.

I am the youngest of Richard du Toit's only two children.
Use of funds
The money raised will be used to pay for Keytruda treatments (ZAR 583,000.00 per session) and any other necessities that arise or are needed.
Our target is for him to survive the cancer and go on to live a productive life for a while longer.
Chemo is set to start on 21 July and will continue every 2 weeks for the next 6 months.
Dad's maintaining his weight at least since spending 5 days on a feeding tube in hospital at the start of July for severe dehydration and starvation.
Hopefully this is going to work, but we still thank those who have donated towards Keytruda, as that is our end goal.
FundraiseYou can start a fundraiser to have your own page that raises money directly for the beneficiary.
