Please help give Robert Courtney the memorial he deserves

Deepest sympathy for the loss of Robert. He sounds like a good bugger by all accounts.

My grandmother was a Courtney from Whangarei but we know little of her family but have visited graves at Mangakaramea and the town cemetary.

Her name was Mabel Grace Courtney, married Reginald Peachy Goodchap.

Does your whanau have a historian who might contact me perhaps.

I'm hoping you have Robert home by now. I came across the article about his heroic actions when scrolling through news posts.
