Please help Shona's family

Last week, Shona suffered a devastating medical event and remains critically ill in Auckland City

Hospital after being transferred from Wellington for specialist care.

Shona is a devoted mum to five children. Her youngest two, Holly and Ben, are still at school, and this heartbreaking time has been made even harder by being so far from home and their support network.

Despite her critical condition, Shona has been able to respond to her children by squeezing their hands and nodding to their questions, precious moments that mean everything to her family. Sadly, her heart is not responding to treatment as hoped, and the road ahead remains uncertain.

The family's greatest wish is for Dave, Liam, Emma, Jayden, Holly and Ben to stay in Auckland a little longer to spend precious time with their mum. However, the financial pressure is growing. Dave is unable to work while supporting Shona and caring for the children, while also covering travel and accommodation costs.

Any contribution, no matter how small, will help ease this burden and allow the family to focus on being together. Through it all, Shona continues to show incredible strength, and her family remains hopeful for every small step forward. Thank you for your kindness and support. ❤️
