Please help the dogs of Rarotonga!

I am volunteering with the SPCA in Rarotonga for two weeks starting on 30 January. My days will be filled with looking after dogs and helping out where I can with walking, bathing, collecting supplies, re-homing, educating, literally anything and everything - I cant wait!

I have asked the main animal suppliers for donations and they have already decided on their charities to support and unfortunately not the SPCA Cook Islands this year - so I am really hoping you can find it in your fur-baby loving hearts to help me out! Every little bit helps a dog become healthier, happier and loved :)

The SPCA team has a current wish list of items they need. Next to each item is the cost to buy it in NZ. Any of these items would be a massive help to the team and the dogs, so please help if you can!

1. Muzzles for med dogs $24

2. Flea treatment for dogs 10 – 25kg $30

3. Wound spray $38

4. Antiseptic cream (ie betadine) $23

5. Tweezers $12

6. Dog Treats $6-$15

8. Wound healing ointment $39

9. High strength mozzie spray (ie Repel) $25

10. Dog collar or lead $12-$20

SPCA Cook Islands are a small team of volunteers who work tirelessly to help stray, abused and homeless animals. They are dedicated to improving animal welfare and educating people on best practice animal care. They operate the SPCA Op Shop, the SPCA kennel site, weekly raffles, quizzes, and garage sales to raise funds. The Cook Islands SPCA is a charity that relies solely on local sponsors and donations from tourists and the local community. They do not have dedicated funding or large marketing budgets but do what they can to keep the animals of Rarotonga happy, healthy and well loved.
