Please help our VEX Robotics National Champions 2915U get to the world stage
Lynfield, Auckland
Hey there, we are Lynfield College Robotics Team 2915U, a robotics team of four students in Year 12. In February of this year we won the National Robotics Championship and was awarded the Amaze award for an outstandingly designed, robustly built and effectively programmed robot. This qualifies us to compete in the 2022 Vex Robotics World Championship in Dallas, Texas on May 5th-7th. We are really hoping to be able to compete at this event.
The VEX Robotics competition is the largest high school robotics competition globally consisting of over 12,000 teams who originate from 33 different countries. Lynfield College has competed in and won this world event a number of times.
During the last summer holidays we have spent most of our time in Zak’s garage planning, building and programming our robot. We definitely have the dedication, passion, commitment and drive to go.
Unfortunately due to Covid, we are unable to raise funds with traditional fundraising activities and the school is unable to help with funding and teacher supervision so we are hoping to raise some money on this platform to make the trip more affordable and accessible for us all. Our goal is to raise $10,000 which would help cover some of our costs including entry, flights, accommodation, and excess baggage for our gear whilst in the USA.
We are grateful for any amount donated.
Any company or corporate sponsorship would also be greatly appreciated.
Thanks - Zak, Reily, Nicholas and Kaelem
I am the very proud dad of Zak, and his fellow teammates are Rielly, Nicholas and Kaelem
The money will be spent on flights, accommodation and competition fees
