Please help us rebuild the Waitakere BMX club canteen after it's destroyed by a deliberately lit fire!

Waitakere BMX Club has been the heart of BMX racing in West Auckland since 1982. We are a volunteer-run sport club providing a fun filled biking experience for riders of all ages.

We are incredibly disappointed to share that a deliberately lit fire caused by a group of teens has completely destroyed our club canteen.

Hours of volunteer work go into keeping the Waitakere BMX Club running, providing a place for riders of all ages to enjoy the sport and community we’re so proud of. The canteen is a major source of income that helps fund everything we do, and now, not only have we lost that income, but we face the challenge of fundraising for repairs, replacements, and putting in endless volunteer hours once again because of this act of destruction.

What makes this even more heartbreaking is that a dedicated team of volunteers worked most of the day yesterday to get the club ready for the new season. To see all that effort undone so quickly is gutting.

This is a huge setback for the club - the damage is extensive, the repairs and replacements will be costly. We know it's a difficult time of year, but if you are able please chip in, or ask your business to support us, so we can cover our operating costs as we embark on the process of rebuilding.
