Help us raise funds to replace our broken driving car to keep supporting our community to get their licence and step into independence.
Helensville, Auckland
At Outwest Youth, we believe in backing our people – in removing barriers, building confidence, and celebrating every milestone. Over the past decade, we’ve supported hundreds of locals on their journey to independence by helping them get their driver’s licence. From rangatahi chasing their first taste of freedom, to a 63-year-old finally ticking it off the bucket list – every win has been worth celebrating.
But this isn’t just about licences. It’s about what they unlock – job opportunities, access to education, the ability to support whānau, and safer roads for all of us.
Right now, our biggest tool to make that happen – our dual-control teaching car – is on its last legs. Our two instructors are flat out offering free lessons to people facing big challenges, and without a reliable vehicle, we risk having to say no.
We need to raise $13,500 to replace the car.
If you, or someone you love, has ever benefited from a helping hand on the licence journey – would you consider paying it forward?
Together, we can make sure no one misses out on the chance to move forward.
From all of us at Outwest – thank you for being part of the village that lifts people up.
Outwest Youth is a registered charitable trust supporting rangatahi aged 10–24 in Helensville through mentoring, life skills, licence support 16+ , alternative education, and youth work—helping them thrive every day.
The money will be spent on purchasing a safe, reliable dual-control vehicle so our instructors can continue providing driving lessons to those in our community who face barriers to getting their licence.
We reached our target !! 4 September 2025
Kia ora whānau,
We are beyond grateful to share that we’ve reached our fundraising target! 🎉 This milestone was made possible through the aroha we’ve received via our website and especially through our Givealittle page.
Because of you, we are able to continue walking alongside young people in our community — offering them the support, opportunities, and encouragement they deserve. Your generosity means more than just dollars; it means hope, connection, and a future where our rangatahi know they matter.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. You have done something truly special, and we couldn’t have done it without you.
