Please help us support Leonard Bagley and his beautiful young children

  • Update Jan 26th

      26 January 2019

A huge thank you to everyone for all your support and continued support for Leonard and the kids. Leonard is extremely grateful for all the kind wishes, donations and support from you all, as are our families also.

It has now been 7 weeks since this happened and Leonard is still recovering in hospital, but doing incredibly well in his recovery with the goal of getting home very soon. The children are doing well, being so well cared for by Emma’s family and they visit Leonard every day.

Thank you again for the amazing support you have all given through this givealittle page. This will go a long way to helping Leonard and the children for whatever they may need on this journey ahead and his continued recovery at home.

    With much appreciation, Natalie x

Again a huge thank you for the continued support and well wishes for Leonard and the kids, it really is all so greatly appreciated. Len has been transferred from Christchurch hospital back to his hometown hospital in Invercargill, where he will continue his recovery. We are thrilled he is back where the children can now more easily visit their Dad. A big thank you to all the staff of Christchurch hospital who did a fantastic job of their care of Leonard, and their support of his Mum and step-dad as they were at his bedside.

  • Update on Len

      20 December 2018

A massive thank you from our family to everyone who has so kindly and generously donated to help support Leonard and his 2 young children at this very difficult time. Every donation and comment is all so greatly appreciated thank you.

Leonard has now come out of the induced coma he had been in since the night of the accident, which is a huge relief to us all. He has been moved from ICU to a ward to continue his rehabilitation. There is still a long journey ahead with his recovery, but he is showing a good fighting spirit.

Thank you all again so very much for your support, it really will go a long way to helping on this journey.

That’s great news and I wish Leonard all the best

      with his recovery.

I don’t know the family but this is such a awful, tragic, unfair thing to happen.

It broke my heart and I feel for the entire family especially for Emma’s parents and Leonard’s and Emma’s beautiful children.

In my opinion from reports I am hearing this is no accident and when charges are laid and justice is seen to be done I will make further comments.

      Wonderful news!

I’m a nurse who has worked often with Leonard over the years. He is always such a wonderful, kind, pleasant human being and I just can’t imagine what he and the whole family are dealing with right now.

I never knew Emma sadly, but my husband worked a lot with her and had never ending wonderful memories about her and what an incredibly inspiring nurse she was.

Sending much love and thoughts for his ongoing recovery.
