Today marks 30 days since Eli's liver transplant.

He's still in PICU, and we don't yet know when he'll be strong enough to move to the ward. He's not quite breathing on his own yet, and the doctors are carefully monitoring to make sure all his organs are working together as they should.

I visited him today, it was both beautiful and heartbreaking. He opened his gorgeous blue eyes now and then and seemed to enjoy hearing our voices, listening intently and following us with his eyes. He even had a little wriggle in his cot. The most precious moment was seeing him in his mothers's arms again, something we've longed for.

Eli has endured so much. With all our hearts, we hope he continues to heal and grow stronger, step by step. He truly is the bravest wee fighter.

Unless you've walked this road, it's hard to understand the toll it takes, on Eli's mum and dad, and on his two siblings, whose world has also been turned upside down.

Thank you to everyone who has stood beside our family through these very difficult months. Your love and support mean more than words can say.

On Tuesday evening, we were blessed with a beautiful visit with our precious wee man, Eli. He was full of life—chatting away in his sweet baby talk, flashing heart-melting smiles, and wriggling about with his usual charm. It was a moment that filled our hearts with hope.

But sadly, the following day brought a difficult turn. Eli was taken into surgery so doctors could investigate possible internal bleeding. During the procedure, he began to struggle to breathe—his little tummy became distended, filled with gas, and had to be surgically opened to relieve the pressure and help him breathe. It was an incredibly frightening and heartbreaking time for both Mum and Dad.

Eli remains sedated and is now in the (PICU), where he’ll stay until he’s strong enough to breathe on his own again.

This morning, we received what we hoped would be the miracle we’ve all been praying for—a potential liver donor had been found.

But after further testing, we were devastated to learn that the liver was not a suitable match for our brave little boy. Eli remains on the urgent transplant list, and time is critical. We ask—please—keep Eli in your hearts and in your thoughts. We are praying with everything we have that a match comes very, very soon.

To everyone who has supported us—whether through kind words, prayers, or generous donations—thank you. Your love and help have lifted a small part of the immense weight this family is carrying. We are so deeply grateful.

    With love,

    ❤️ Eli’s family

Our precious little Eli has now been on IV nutrition for nearly a week. This is helping give his tiny body the nutrients it desperately needs to help him gain weight. We are relieved to share that he’s put on a little and now weighs just over 5kg — still very small for a six-month-old, but every gram is a step in the right direction.

Eli is now officially on the liver transplant list. It’s an emotional and uncertain journey ahead, as the wait for a suitable donor can take time.

We want to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has wrapped Eli in love and lifted up Brian and Aliesha with your kindness and support. This is a long and incredibly difficult road for his mum and dad, but they are staying strong and hopeful — one day at a time.

Please keep them all in your thoughts. 💛

Unfortunately, Eli isn’t gaining weight consistently, and his liver is continuing to struggle. The next step is placing an IV nutrient port to ensure he receives the nutrients he needs to grow. This also means that a liver transplant will likely need to happen sooner rather than later.

Thank you to everyone who has supported the family during this difficult time.
