Please help us to fund lymphoma treatment for our dog Hine

  • Thank you

      21 February 2024

We are closing the donation end of the month.

We expected her initial 16 weeks treatment will make her better but she didn't make it. She tried, we tried but the cancer was too aggressive.

All the funds went to her treatment. We still have a few thousand dollars remaining to pay but this fundraiser has helped us a lot, not just financially but emotionally as well.

Thank you again. We appreciate all the love you have given us.

    Aroha nui.

  • Goodbye Hine

She just went over the rainbow this morning.

She has gone downhill really quickly last few days and we had to make a decision for her quality of life.

She was so loved by everyone, kind, sweet, fun, empathetic, and smart girl.

We are really sad but glad she is not in discomfort anymore.

Thank you everyone for all the kind thoughts and generous koha. All the funds has gone to her treatment.

She has taught us to be brave and happy. She won't be forgotten and forever loved.

Thanks again everyone to be part of our journey.

Hi Aya and Brad, Thanks for sharing your very sad news and please accept my heartfelt condolences - I could see/feel how much Hine meant to you both. She got to experience the deep love and care from humans, and that must have given her a lot of comfort as she bravely battled he illness. Keep being brave and happy you guys, and take care of that place in each other's hearts where your tears are born. Much love, Chris xxx

  • Up and down - update on Hine

She was doing well and all the sudden lamps came back aggressively. We had to stop the chimo and she also had a fever and possibly infection so we had to give her antibiotics. She was really not well since last week. Finally blood test came back normal so she is on the new chimo now. She seems better today and lamps are little smaller. If this chimo is working well, she will be on it another 20 weeks. It's going to cost us more than we estimated but we'll do our best for her.

Thank you for all your support. We'll keep you updated.

Unfortunately lumps are back on her body. We are really disappointed it's not domant by now. We will have a second opinion from a different vet soon to see what we need to do next. She seems ok but not 100%.

We'll do our best for her. Thank you for all your support.

Thank you for supporting us! Hine is doing really well and the medication is halved now. She has been out for run and has her energy back.

Her treatment needs to continue as the cancer can't be removed, but we are really happy how she is doing.

She is well and we keep doing our best.

    Thanks again everyone!

  • Results are back

      17 November 2023

We got more results back - further results have indicated that she has b-cell lymphoma, which means if she goes into remission it will be more durable.

This is a good news for us and also lumps on her body got really smaller after the first session :)

Wearing pink today to show everyone love 🩷

  • First treatment today

She is a very brave girl and we are proud of her. She had a first treatment today and multiple tests and scans. She had some lovely human friends came to visit her and licked them all over!

We are still in shock and worried but we don't want her to sense we are sad, so we are focusing on spending quality time with her.

Thank you for very kind messages and contribution for her. We are very grateful to have support from amazing people.

Just received the estimate for tomorrow. It'll be the first treatment for her and she needs to go to the vet weekly. Hopefully her body will react ok with it.
