Please help us to help Flory and her family!

We are a New Zealand family of 4 teaching and living in Singapore. Flory, our foreign domestic worker from the Philippines suffered from a severe brain hemorrhage at home on Saturday afternoon. Flory is currently in the ICU here in Singapore and when she is medically stable she will need to be flown with medical support back to the Philippines to be with her family. She will then need 24-hour care for the rest of her life.

Flory has been living with and working for our family for 5 years and has been nothing but amazing. She has dedicated her life to helping others, working in Singapore for the past 25 years so she could support her family back home in the Philippines. Our insurance cover for Flory has now been exceeded due to the very high cost of hospitalisation in Singapore. We are doing all we can for Flory with our own personal finances, but we are now facing unaffordable costs of care for her while she remains in hospital in Singapore. Her family will also face huge financial difficulties as she returns to the Philippines and needs full-time care.

All donations will go towards helping us cover Flory’s hospital costs here in Singapore with any remaining funds going to Flory’s family in the Philippines for her ongoing medical care and support.
