Please help us while our dad recovers from his freak accident

    Hi all i just wanted to jump on here and update all our amazing donors who supported our family during the most difficult times of our lives now almost 2 years ago when dad suffered his accident. Dad is doing very well now he is almost back to normal, he has had one elbow operated on to try release the tension in the skin and joint due to the graphs and is awaiting surgery for his other elbow and a few other potential things. Unfortunately because of the delays dads work had to medically retire him in the middle of last year, it was a downer but dad has found other things to focus on including getting out travelling back in the caravan. Alot of things have changed since 2022 including that i have moved overseas to WA for my own opportunities.

    We are forever grateful to the donors that supported our family whether it was a big donation or a small one

  • Update as of 16/8

    Hi all, dad is doing well, he has been back home with us since the middle of july, mum and dad have a trip into town each Wednesday for change of dressings, physio and more and the district nurses come on Mondays and fridays to help with dressing changes, he also has physios and others visit him at home to continue rehabilitation

    It is all looking very positive for dad ahead, we are hopeful of the future, we’re currently getting ready for our trip to perth in nov to visit my brother in perth it is all looking good for dad to be able to come with us to Australia.

    We again would like to thank everyone for their support no matter how big or small

  • Dad is doing well

    Hi all, this is an update to let all of our amazing donors know that dad is doing well, his skingraphs physio and other aspects of his recovery are all going well. Dad has also progressed onto pureed food which is a good positive step.

    Dad is in good spirits with his progress and he loves having us visit whenever we can.

    Mum has been a crucial part of his recovery so far especially with the nurses in the national burns unit being understaffed meaning they struggle to give dad the care that he needs at times. E.g feeding dad his lunch and dinner.

    It has taken alot of pressure off the family having the givealittle money there to support us when needed.

    A big thanks goes out to all our amazing donors again for your support

  • Future still up in the air

    Dad is doing well at the moment but with his injuries anything can happen over the next few weeks and months. The doctors have warned us the next few weeks will be the most critical for dad and anything can still happen including him still dying from his severe injuries. The family are very grateful for the support we have received so far from so many.
