KIA ORA KOUTOU!
This is NOT the outcome we had been hoping and praying for:
1. After Avi told us that "he is strong, and not to worry" his health deteriorated quickly.
2. Upon receiving this news my daughter Karan FLEW TO INDIA.
3. Karan DID NOT MAKE IT IN TIME TO GIVE HER HUSBAND ONE LAST HUG (which has really devastated her).
4. Avi TANGIHANGA/FUNERAL is to be held TODAY.
Naturally, we are all DEVASTATED THAT AVI DID NOT MAKE IT; and I really feel for my daughter who FEELS ABSOLUTELY ROBBED OF NOT BEING WITH HER HUSBAND TO CUDDLE HIM, AND SAY THE THINGS SHE WANTED TO SHARE WITH HIM.
We are guessing that Avi possibly knew he was going down hill (because he was sending visitors home, and telling them NOT TO WORRY ABOUT HIM). We will never know his TRUE THOUGHTS because he DID NOT GET TO SHARE THEM WITH KARAN. But Avi obviously WAS THINKING ABOUT EVERYONE ELSE, AND DID NOT WANT THEM TO BE STRESSING ABOUT HIM.
Arohamai, I apologize for not letting all you WONDERFUL PEOPLE know sooner about Avi passing (but we are still trying to come to terms with our loss).
Regarding YOUR HEARTFELT KOHA/DONATIONS, this funding HAS NOT BEEN TOUCHED yet; and although Avi has passed away (there remains MANY COSTS TO BE PAID linked with his HEALTHCARE, and so on). I will update you all again soon.
