Please support former Champion Indian Jockey Rahul Shinde who has suffered a major stroke.

Cambridge, Waikato

Former Champion Indian Jockey Rahul Shinde who with his family call New Zealand home, suffered a major stroke on the way to work at one of the various racing stable jobs on Sunday 11th of August. Rahul has a big presence in and around the Cambridge Thoroughbred Racing industry with early morning starts at Kingsclere stables, through to working at the Cambridge Training Centre during the day, and weekend work around a number of stables in Cambridge. Rahul has always been there with a smile on his face doing whatever needs to be done. Now at the tender age of 51 he is facing a long and difficult recovery. Rahul is the main income earner which has created significant financial stress for his wife and children. We encourage everyone who can, particularly in the Waikato racing community, to get behind Rahul and support his family in the difficult times ahead. Ever dollar counts.
