      24 December 2023

To everyone who has donated, who has said a prayer or karakia, who has held a fundraiser, who has supported Kevin's journey in anyway, thank you. Kevin is still battling, but he has asked now that this page be closed. Please keep sending all your love and best wishes to Kevin and his beautiful, strong family.

Thank you from me too - you're such beautiful people, and we all appreciate you.

  • Help Kevin shine: A chance for continued hope and life on stage

    Dear Supporters and Friends,

We've got some good and tough news to share. Thanks to your incredible support in 2022, Kevin fought hard against his illness and had moments where it seemed like he was winning.

But here's the tough part: the treatment that was working has stopped doing its job. Kevin's oncologist tried to get him into a clinical trial for a new treatment, but sadly Kevin wasn’t accepted. Now, his last hope is an IV Avastin (Bevacizumab) combined with an oral drug called Lonsurf. These have had great results in others, but the monthly costs are high: $7018 plus scans and consults.

Kevin has taken the first step by investing $5018 into this treatment. He's planning to go through four rounds and see if it works. But we can't do this alone. We need your help once more, but without your support, the cost is out of reach. This is Kevin's final stand against a tough opponent. The doctors say he has four to five months without a breakthrough. We can't accept that without trying everything.

This latest option is Kevin's lifeline, but it's fully privately funded. Your contribution can make this possible.

Your kindness, compassion, and generosity have already meant the world to him, and now, once again, your support, big or small, can change everything. Let's come together, friends and supporters, to give Kevin the chance he deserves and keep him on stage for as long as possible.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts,

Maria Low on behalf of the Greaves family

Hi everyone I just wanted to humbly say thanks to you all. I had some better news this past week. 5 trestments on. After the latest CT Scan, it has showed the cancer has shrunk just a little. Still a long way to go, but seems heading in the right direction.

The non funded treatment Avastin which your kindness has allowed ne to have, the Dr said is making a big difference, as this stops blood flow to cancer cells, which in turn stops anymore spread. Makes you wonder why its not funded in NZ, when it is in most other countries around the world. I am writing to my local mp and asking that question, feel free to the same.

Thanks again on behalf of my whole Family, words cannot express how blessed I feel.

    Much love

    Kevin, Pandora, Lukss and Kayton

  • Let's keep going, we're getting there

      17 December 2021

Hi everyone, isn't Kevin amazing? The potent, powerful, but life-extending drugs are performing well, but we aren't there yet. The man is getting the stuffing knocked out of him with the treatment, and yet he keeps on doing what he loves - entertaining on Facebook Live for his friends, fans, family and followers; sometimes breathless, sometimes seated, usually overly self-critical, but always fantastic. The donations have slowed and that's absolutely fine, we are so grateful for every dollar that has come in, but while the donations are still filtering through, I'd like to keep this page open for a final burst. Every bit counts, and goes towards more treatment and required care.
