Plz Help My Babies(cats) Jasper and Mia

  • Jaspers levels are slowly going down!

    Hey so my snugglebum jasper went to the vet today. He got a bunch of tests and a urine sample and his bowel and weight check. Bowels are moving normally thank u lactulose. Weight hes up about 200grams but that was b4 he did number 1 n 2s

    So more like 100. But either way I am so so proud of him! Hes liking the new food, as is Mia but both have been throwing up a bit.

    I have found a way to feed him the lacto in his food. Thank u chicken dine sachets!!! He doesn't even noticed the meds..whoop whoop! What other news

    Mias turn is next once we get jasper stable. I am also now doing markets with cat toys and cat magnets keyrings and brooches. Also my perfumes bathsalts lip balms etc

    This fundraiser ends soon but I still am going to do markets and maybe a raffle. I've been donated an epic bbq.... if anyone is keen I'll put them on fb and my sweet rose witch page.

  • Jaspers scarily long list of test results and other fun news

    So jasper came back with mostly good results for all his tests apart from liver, kidneys and calcium. So cat guru said she needed to do another test in house to retest the calcium levels.

    This seriously scared me coz she was thinking he has hyper-caecium.. which can be real bad. And given the level of this amount it wasnt looking good.

    So we went back in for another test, jasper did very well. They shaved his neck a little more, and did the test. It came back as not good but it was between mild and moderate so possibly treated with food. Guru would also like to do ultrasound and xrays to rule out cancer and few other scary things so saving up for that!

    Jasper is now being transitioned off the 20% kitten food back to sensitive control and then guru would like him and mia to both try this other hills food(forgotten name sorry) and then go c her again after hes been solely on that for a month.

    Guru also has asked for more blood tests and urine test so hes booked in wednesday for that at my usual vet. He also now will have weigh ins every 14 days.

    So some good some bad news. I really wanna do the xrays and ultrasound to make sure he is free of all the scary things. Guru also wants to do some slices?? Of cells and get them looked at when doing ultrasound etc.

    All throughout this I am so proud of my babies. They have been so strong and keep going no matter what. They r the best babies ever. Even the vet said jasper in particular but both of them r so calm and well behaved! Go MJ! (Mia Jasper.)

  • Cat Guru

    So both the babies went to the cat guru today. Mia is doing better than jasper shes semi stable so vet decided to just test jasper.she kept him in all day, and did so many tests I've lost count. I know the three she could get results for today all came back good. The one I remember the name of is the blood glucose so he doesnt have diabetes yay! Poor Jasper was also a bit blocked up so he needed a flushing! Oh and one of his anal glands was full. Nothing wrong with it but it was full so could have hurt when he went to go number 2s which is why he was blocked up. Hes been cleaning his poor bum bum since I got him home but has also drunk and nibbled at food. I'll take a pic of each of them soon!

  • Mia and Jaspers vet visit

    So the vet has now seen both of them and due to deterioration has decided to send them both straight to specialist. So this is now booked in solidly for the 29th of jan.

    I'm hoping desperately that this will be a good move. I am so worried about them. They r having weigh ins now regularly (more than b4)

    Thank u all for helping. I thought I'd update the amount now I semi have a price in mind which ofc could get higher.

  • Mia at the Vet

    Just booked Mia in for her weigh in and pre blood test check. Shes booked in for Saturday.
