Terminally ill equestrian ambassador's winter feed supply stolen. Funds needed to feed ponies until alternative arrangements can be made.
Auckland
Kevin has dedicated much of his life to breeding ponies and has been a committed ambassaor / volunteer to the "showhorse" discipline within NZ. Kevin has for years been suffering with cancer and sadly he is now terminally ill. Recently his entire winter feed supply was stolen which has left his large number ponies without hay and baleage over the next few cold/wet months. Our priority first and foremost is to ensure all these ponies are fed, safe and warm in Kevin's absence until new homes can be arranged for them. We will also be helping manage this and any questions or queries can come directly to me. We will ensure that any donations received go directly towards feed supplies for the ponies.
Kevin and I have known each other for over 10 years through an involvement with horses and more recently due to the fact that we are neighbours, I have kept a close eye on him over recent years due to his ill health and therefore need of help around the farm.
All donations will be used to purchase hay/baleage to feed this large number of ponies over the next few winter months. Any surplus money will be used to purchase worming pastes and cover farrier costs.
